@X0A     Welcome! Since you're new you will need to properly configure MarkMail
     to fit your needs. The commands are very simple to follow and you will
     have no problem understanding them.  If you need any help at all, ask.
     When you are ready  to select conferences  you'll see that you can now
     select conferences on a "network by network" basis!

@X0F     This is a listing of features available with MarkMail that make it one
     of the Best mail systems available.  This door was created to overcome
     the shortcomings of other QWK systems, it was also designed with speed
     of operation in mind.

@X0F                         Offline Configuration Changes
@X0B                        -------------------------------
@X0F     The MarkMail door was designed with a philosophy of 'automated' online
     operations so almost all of the configuration items can be manipulated
     using an offline reader. The method of achieving this is via a message
     sent to 'MARKMAIL'. The following explains these commands and examples.

@X0FADD a Conference
@X0B     You can add a conference offline by sending a message to MarkMail with
     a subject of ADD.  You can also update your last message read pointers
     with this command.  Example:
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: ADD <Number>
     @X0BIf the number is a 'positive' number, that number will become your new
     last message read pointer.  If the number is a 'negative' number, that
     number will be subtracted from the high message number and  that  will
     become your last message read pointer.   But if the number is ommited,
     nothing will be done to your last message read pointer.
     Also a conference can be added for  [Y]our  mail in the same manner as
     for  [A]ll mail:
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: YOURS -20
     @X0BAdd for [Y]ours with pointers set back 20 from the top.

@X0FLIMIT number of messages
     @X0BTo configure yourself for a 300K Limit on the size of your QWK packet.
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: LIMIT 300

@X0FDROP a Conference
     @X0BYou can drop conferences offline by sending a message to MarkMail with
     a subject of DROP within that (or those) conference(s).  Example:
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: DROP

@X0FBLTS On/Off
     @X0BYou can toggle selection Bulletins On & Off with a message to MarkMail.
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: BLTS ON   or   BLTS OFF

@X0FOwn Messages On/Off
     @X0BYou can turn reception of your own  (From You) messages On or Off with
     a message to MarkMail.  Example:
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: OWN ON    or   OWN OFF

@X0FDeluxe Menu On/Off
     @X0BYou can turn the Deluxe Menu  On or Off with a message to MarkMail.
     @X0DTO: MARKMAIL
     @X0DSUBJECT: DELUXE ON  or  DELUXE OFF

@X0FForcing Non-Echo'ed Messages
     @X0BMarkMail provides a method to enter local mail into echoed conferences.
     Simply preface the subject with 'NE:', standing for No Echo.  MarkMail
     will remove the NE: from the subject field prior to insertion. Example:

     @X0DTO: CLIFF WATKINS
     @X0DSUBJECT: NE:Local Intelec Messages

@X0FThe Pointer File
     @X0BMarkMail places into the INTELEC.QWK file a pointer file that contains
     your last message read pointers. If you should lose a INTELEC.QWK, you
     can go back to a previous INTELEC.QWK, get the INTELEC.PNT file, 'ZIP'
     it into a INTELEC.REP and upload it into MarkMail.  Your pointers will
     now be 'reset' to where they were  prior  to the packet that was lost.
